Aspact Oy has a mission to develop and commercialise Aspact® technology after several year’s development in academic and research environment. The company is a privately owned company founded in 2007 and started in autumn 2008 at premises located at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, Kaitoväylä 1, Oulu. Aspact® is a registered trade mark of Aspact Oy.

About us

Juha Hagberg, CTO, Chairman of Board

Juha Hagberg received his M.Sc. and Dr.Tech. degrees from the Microelectronics Laboratory, University of Oulu, Finland, in 1986 and 1993. He has been working in the Microelectronics Laboratory almost twenty years managing several National and International research projects dealing with hybrid microelectronics, fine line printing and other additive circuiting techniques. In the period of 1.2004 – 8.2006 he worked in Asperation Oy and in Aspocomp Oy to develop the ASPACT®-technology. At 2005 he built up the Aspact® laboratory facilities at Asperation/Aspocomp Oulu premises. He has written over 60 scientific papers and holds currently several patent applications. He holds Adjunct Professorship in electronics manufacturing technology in the University of Oulu.

Teija Kekonen, Technology Specialist

Teija Kekonen got her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Chemistry, University of Oulu, Finland, in 1999 and 2006. Her major is analytical inorganic chemistry and minors mathematics, pedagogical studies in education, physics. From May 2004 she has worked for Aperation Oy, Aspocomp Oy and Selmic Oy to develop Aspact® technology. In 2005 she prepared the Aspact® laboratory baths at Asperation/Aspocomp Tutkijantie 13 premises. She has developed chemical processes for additive circuiting, specific adhesion treatments and transferring processes to thermoplastics. She has been responsible for chemistry related operations in the research laboratory, environmental and sewage issues and chemicals safety. She has published several scientific papers from environmental chemistry topic and during her university studies she has also worked in the USA.

Terho Kutilainen, CEO, Board Member

Terho Kutilainen holds a Master of Science degree received from University of Oulu, Department of Electrical Engineering, 2001. His major is microelectronics and material physics, minor in production engineering, marketing and management. He has a long working experience starting 1979 at Aspo Oy Electronics, later Aspocomp Oyj, mainly in the field of ceramic modules. 2001 he started as Manager of Packaging and Interconnection in Business Development and Research group of Aspocomp. The work of the BDR-group lead to founding of Asperation Oy, a joint venture of Aspocomp and Perlos, with intention to integrate electronics and mechanics. After division of Asperation’s programmes back to the parent companies, he worked as Development Director at Aspocomp Technology Oy and as VP Business Development and VP Technology at Selmic Oy. He is well networked in organisations like the International Microelectronics and Packaging Society, The Ceramic Interconnect Initiative, National Electronics Manufacturing Initiative (iNEMI) and Centre of Micro and Nanotechnologies, University of Oulu, member of the advisory board 1.1.2006-31.12.2008.
